YouTube is a great resource for listening to music, and in some ways, it has many of the features that you would find with a service like Spotify. You can create playlists, with YouTube Red you get offline listening, and with YouTube-specific Chrome extensions you can get shuffle and repeat settings, charts, and more.

But one hidden gem of a feature on YouTube is the ability to play entire albums without the use of any extensions or addons at all.

It's important to note that this feature is not available for just any artist or album. To find out if your favorite artists or albums are conveniently available on YouTube to listen to for free, just search an artist's name on the site.

If you search for Radiohead, for example, you'll see a menu on the right-hand side of the screen with two tabs. The first features Radiohead's top track, while the second is a list of their complete albums that you can play directly on YouTube.

The list of artists featuring this option is quite varied. We searched for some random artists and found albums for artists with current work including Beyonce, Rihanna, Mumford and Sons, Milky Chance, and  Ariane Grande. You'll also find albums Artists from the 50s, 60s, 70s, and 80s, including Louis Armstrong, The Bee Gees, The Beatles, and The Carpenters.

Some artists with a very limited selection of albums include Macklemore, and some had no albums at all, like Elvis Presley. So you'll just have to search for your favorite artists or bands, and see what offerings are available on YouTube.
