Most of this is pure bogus. You can't become rich by saving and scrimping. You know how rich people do it? They either find a way to innovate and somehow manage to protect the idea from being stolen and avoid being sued by the billions of other people who don't want them to become millionaires due to jealousy, and then charge exorbitant fees by monopolizing supply of said product, or they find a comparatively easy way to screw people out of their money en masse. Much of the time both of those ways are in fact the same way, take the entire pharmaceutical industry as an example. Just be horrendously selfish, cunning, opportunistic, and intelligent. Boom, you're rich, might have cost you your humanity, but well worth it.

There's a difference between cheap and frugal and some of these people are just cheap! Paper plates at your child's wedding?! That's cheap, wasteful, and poor taste. I agree with not overspending and buying in excess, but If you think Beyoncé is frugal or it's smart to eat free meatballs from your stores all the time that's just dumb (and unhealthy).

What is the idea of being millionaire or billionaire if you doesn't use money for you and your people? I agree to not being a spender, buy things you don't need, not will use or even just for status. Money is overrated.

Some good suggestions, but many sound "pathologically" cheap and stingy, e.g., paper plates at a wedding, indeed!

I feel badly for them, because all they have out of life is money.

What you think of as being "pathologically cheap and stingy" others (especially the rich) think of as being "frugal."

To me the most valuable idea here is "Have two jobs, save one salary". Nice!
