Just last week, IObit officially launched its driver updating tool called Driver Booster, which acts as a free stand-alone tool for frequently updating drivers to optimize your PC gaming experiences.

Earlier this year, Driver Booster Beta How to Find & Replace Outdated Windows Drivers Your drivers might be outdated and need updating, but how are you to know? Here's what you need to know and how to go about it. Read More was released, and serves as one of the few PC tools out there that is capable of collecting an inventory of all currently installed hardware drivers, and then serving as a central “command center” to update those drivers with a single click. This can save PC users – especially gamers – a great deal of effort, because they no longer need to identify which drivers they have installed for specific hardware. They also won’t have to hunt down where to download the correct driver from the Internet, because Driver Booster already has that information. With a click of the button, users can bring all hardware drivers up to the latest version.

According to the IObit press release, IObit Driver Booster Beta can improve PC performance, because most system crashes are due to the fact that “hardware devices can not function properly without proper drivers”. This is especially true for gamers, when a particular game requires a more recent version of hardware driver than the user might have installed.

Another problem that’s remedied by Driver Booster is that since the user doesn’t have to search the Internet for drivers, it’s less likely their computer will become infected by fake drivers downloaded from unreliable sources. Driver Booster contains only verified drivers for the hardware you have installed on your system.

The press release also states that Driver Booster is especially tuned for gaming performance, by focusing on the drivers that are most important to gaming performance. In the release, IObit’s marketing director, Michael Zhao explained the benefits of using IObit’s free Driver Booster software:

Updating drivers is never an easy job for many PC users as it’s time-consuming and problematic. Driver Booster is introduced against this backdrop and it’s the right tool to protect your PC from hardware failures, conflicts, and system crashes.

You can set up Driver Booster to scan and update your outdated drivers automatically, so that you never have to worry about updating your drivers again. It can keep your PC running optimally, without the hardware or system failures usually associated with outdated drivers.

You can download Driver Booster free directly from IObit.

I was excited to try Driver Booster, so I launched it right away. Boy did I
end up regretting my decision! It was immediately obvious that that my monitor resolution was messed up as desktop items were overblown in size. But worse than that is the fact that I could no longer access the Internet at all! It took over an hour on the phone with an IOBIT technician, using a neighbors computer, and allowing him to access to her desktop in order to download the proper drivers for my laptop. The drivers were saved to an external storage drive and then downloaded to my computer. So, BEWARE ...before you decide to use Driver MAY experience similar problems or even possibly others!

This driver messed up my PC, also! It now take a FULL 20 min. to start up! Pages will freeze, many times programs now inform me: "Not responding" and I have to wait several minuets for it to start working.

I uninstalled Driver Booster after it "fixed" 3 outdated drivers. PC still works terrible!

Anyone know how I can fix my PC?

With most driver updates you won't see a difference.

I have used this software for 3 months now and I would certainly recommend it. I currently have it running on 3 PC's and none have crashed since this program has been installed.
One of the PC's was an old one which was rebuilt and is running on Windows XP . As it contained a number of old components this was the ideal program to update it with and the machine runs fine and does the job it was built for.
It beats the socks off any other driver update software on the market.

While this type of software seems convenient, the first time it installs an incorrect driver, you will change your mind very quickly.

I once used a similar product that attempted to update my notebook's video drivers to Windows 8. Found out later there was no update from Hp available.

In the end while a driver was installed it was incorrect and screwed royally with my computer.

May work better for desktop than proprietary notebooks.
