HTML5up: Offers Great Looking, Responsive Templates To Edit & Use
Do you need a personal website, quickly, and prefer not to deal with setting up a CMS? HTML5up has you covered. This collection of slick, animated websites are free to download – and use. This means that, with a little bit of tweaking, you’ll have a fast, professional site set up quickly. Even better, most work well with mobile out of the box.
You’ll need to be competent in editing HTML code to use these, and you’ll need the means and knowledge to edit images. If that’s not a problem you’ll be set up in no time. Just download any of the templates offered.
Unzip the template and you can open it immediately in your browser – no CMS means no need to set anything up first. Then you can start editing the index.html, removing the generic text and replacing it with your own.
You should also change where all of these links redirect, of course, so keep making changes until it’s right for you. As I said, you need some skill to use the templates, but the code is clean and the entire site is a single page. If you have any HTML5 knowledge you should be able to figure it out. Do that, then replace all images with your own, and you’ll be up and running in no time. This took me about a minute:
Not bad, right? The collection of templates offered is great, and growing, and all are free to use for personal or professional use.
