At the time of writing, only professional profiles (one of the common Instagram terms you should know about) can schedule posts. If you're unsure if your account is a professional profile, head to your profile settings and check. You can switch to a professional profile in the settings.

Once you've made the switch, you can schedule posts on Instagram. To do so, follow the steps below:

  1. Create your post in the Instagram app as you normally would. Add a photo or video, caption, hashtags, etc.
  2. Tap Advanced settings on the post creation page.
  3. Toggle the Schedule this post slider to the On position.
  4. Select the date and time for the post.
  5. Tap Done once you've chosen your time.
  6. Press the back arrow in the top left corner of your screen to return to the post-creation page.
  7. Share your post as normal.

Once the post has been shared, it will go live at your scheduled time.

How to View Scheduled Posts on Instagram

Instagram allows you to schedule up to 25 posts daily with dates up to 75 days in advance. You can view and manage your scheduled posts in the Instagram app. To do so, follow the steps below:
