When it comes to getting rides, Uber has quickly jumped to the front of the pack because it offers incredible convenience with the ability to order a ride and pay right from a smartphone. It works incredibly well when you’re out somewhere and you realize that you need a way home (maybe you’ve been partying a bit too hard.)
One place where Uber is lacking is the ability to schedule rides well in advance. If you’re planning on going to airport, and you know that you need to be picked up a certain time to make it there, relying on the last-minute booking of Uber can lead to undue stress. What if there isn’t one nearby when you need it and you miss your flight?
The new app, somewhat ironically called TaxiLater, allows you to pick a date and time and have an Uber scheduled then. So if you know you need a ride to the airport at 11am on May 15th, you could schedule it from the app easily.
You’ll need an Uber account to use the app, and obviously, you’ll need to authorize the app to have access to the account. From there, you simply choose the pickup location, where you want to go, the date and time you want to ride to arrive, and the type of car you want. Click Request Uber, and you’re good to go.
