It’s cumbersome to login with your username and password every time you set up Dropbox on a different computer. It’s also unnecessary, because the Dropbox app on your phone can do it for you.
Open the Dropbox app on your Android or iOS device and go to Dropbox settings. When you click on Link a computer there, the app walks you through a three-step process to set up Dropbox on your computer.
Not as much as I was by Dropbox. It brought up a QR code on my PC which I scanned on my phone. My PC then goes "Welcome to Dropbox, Andrew"

You’ll first get a prompt to visit dropbox.com/connect from your computer. When you open that page, you’ll see a QR code (resembling the Dropbox logo) on your computer screen.
Now click on the Next button that appears in the mobile Dropbox app and point your phone at the QR code. The app scans the code and triggers the download of the Dropbox installer on your desktop.
Once the download is complete, go ahead and install the application. You’ll find that your account has already been configured and you can start using it immediately.
Can’t find the Link a computer feature on your phone? It’s probably because you haven’t uploaded any files to Dropbox. In that case, look under the Files tab for that setting.
Do you pre-configure Dropbox if you’re setting it up on a desktop? Or do you go through the entire setup process every single time?
