We live in an age of information overload, and on YouTube, it's certainly no exception. With hundreds of videos uploaded to the video sharing site by the minute, the things that matter to you can get lost in the shuffle.

Even if you're subscribed to a channel, you might miss out when a new video has been uploaded. With YouTube notifications, you can ensure you never miss a video from your favorite channels.

YouTube notifications are very easy to set up for individual channels. Navigate to the channel of your choice and in the top right-hand corner, next to the number of subscribers, you should see a button with a little bell. Clicking this allows you to enable notifications for that channel.

You can also turn notifications on by going to your YouTube subscription manager. You'll also find a link that lets you manage how you receive those notifications, with a choice between email and mobile notifications.

To manage how you receive notifications, click Manage Settings and scroll down to Channel subscriptions. In the drop-down menu, you can choose email only, push only, or both.

You can also access this page by clicking the gear icon, going to YouTube SettingsNotifications.

Unfortunately, there's no way to see which channels you've turned notifications on for. If you change your mind, you'll have to just go back to that channel to disable notifications.
