Apple’s AirPods are among the most popular true wireless headphones on the market. However, that doesn’t mean they are your only choice.
If you’re looking for an alternative to Apple AirPods, but also care about sustainability and design, then you’re in luck.
House of Marley, the electronics firm, who count Bob Marley’s son Rohan as an ambassador, has just announced the Redemption ANC true wireless earbuds.
What Are the House of Marley Redemption ANC Earbuds?
The House of Marley Redemption ANC Earbuds are a set of true wireless headphones from the sustainability-focused electronics firm. True wireless headphones have become increasingly popular as they dispense with the wires and offer you minimal, comfortable listening experience.
The earbuds are IPX4-rated, making them sweat-proof and weather-resistant. While they should last for around five hours on a single charge, the charging case bolsters that to 20 hours; and that’s with ANC enabled. Without the noise-cancellation, you can expect seven hours for the earbuds, and 28 hours total with the case.
The wooden-styling of the case isn’t just for show, either. To produce the case, House of Marley combined sawdust, wood derivatives, and plastic fibers to create a wood fiber composite material. And the earbuds themselves are encased in a bamboo housing.
House of Marley previously released the Liberate Air, another set of true wireless earbuds. Like the Liberate Air, the Redemption ANC Earbuds feature the company’s REGRIND silicone made of post-consumer waste products.
The Redemption ANC Earbuds are a worthy upgrade, as they add a stem onto each bud. The ANC system is housed within this stem, giving each earbud the ability to remove the surrounding noise from your listening experience. If you want to deactivate the ANC, all you need to do is triple-tap the earbud.
Where Can You Buy the House of Marley Redemption ANC Earbuds?
February 2020 marks what would have been Bob Marley’s 75th birthday. To commemorate the occasion, House of Marley has made the Redemption ANC Earbuds available from its website, Amazon, and other selected retailers for $199.99.
