How to Hide the Pesky “Get Office” Notification on Windows

The “Get Office” promo notification is incessant in Windows 10, and it’s probably driving you nuts. The good news is that turning off the notification is quite easy.


Start by opening the Start menu, clicking on Settings, and navigating to System > Notifications and actions.

Now, in the Show notifications from these apps section, move the slider for Get Office into the “Off” position. That’s it! The Get Office popup from Action Center won’t bother you anymore.

Don’t try uninstalling the Get Office app because it’s futile. Some users report that the app reinstalls itself when you restart the system. Hiding the notification is a more effective way to get rid of Microsoft’s nagging message.

    Weird, I simply uninstalled (removed) it, and never saw it again.

      That is how it's supposed to work, Nikolaj, but it doesn't for many people.
