We visited Anker on the CES 2020 show floor to check out the company’s range of new products for the coming 12 months.
For those who don’t know, Anker has developed a reputation over the last few years for making some of the best tech accessories. The company makes everything from adaptors and chargers to cables and mobile power packs. Its products are a long-time favorite of all the MakeUseOf staff.
None of the products are white-label, and they all have a good build quality and a premium feel.
So, what is new for 2020?
We particularly liked the PowerExpand Elite 13-in-1 Thunderbolt 3 Dock. It offers 85W of output for laptops and 18W for phones, allows you to connect two 4K 60Hz monitors, and also manages to pack in two Thunderbolt 3 ports, an HDMI port, 4 USB-A connections, two USB-C connections, and even an audio port and an RJ45 socket.
The PowerWave+ Base Duo wireless charging device is another winner. Aimed at smartphone users, its output is compatible with both iPhones (7.5 W) and Samsung phones (10W). The unit will work with almost all types of phone cases (except metal) and uses Qi charging tech.
And how could we forget the iPhone LED flashlight? Designed for people who want to take more professional photos using their iOS device, it connects to your phone using the Lightning port. A single charge will last for either 50 minutes or 10,000 flashes. The Lightning connection means the device stays perfectly with the iPhone’s rear camera. A complete recharge takes just 75 minutes.
Lastly, a quick mention of the PowerWave 4-in-1 Stand. Designed specifically for iPhones, AirPods, and Apple Watches, it is a high-speed wireless charging stand that can deliver up to 15W of output, depending on the device you connect.
