Accessible via a new button beside the search bar, the games page provides users with the scoop on the titles their friends are enjoying as well as any invites that have been received. There is also an “accomplishments” feature which, unsurprisingly, makes it possible for players to earn virtual trophies while playing Google+ games and show them off to friends.
The new feature has launched with a small but robust library with popular titles such as Angry Birds, Bejeweled Blitz, Dragon Age Legends, Sudoku and Zombie Lane. Experienced social gamers will note that some of these are ports of games that originally opened on Facebook. More games are sure to be on their way, and Google is actively looking for developers who are interested in the platform.
Unfortunately, not everyone will be able to play immediately. As with Google+ itself, the new games are being rolled out gradually. The official announcement did not provide a specific timeline, so count yourself lucky if you already have this feature available.
