Between video, music, books, online shopping, and more, Amazon has covered just about every online market imaginable. And now it’s getting into the subscription box business with a STEM subscription kit for kids.
Amazon recently launched the STEM Club Toy Subscription with monthly kits available for three age groups: 3-to-4 year olds, 5-to-7 year olds, and 8-to-13 year olds.
Each kit costs $19.99 per month before tax. The monthly program delivers Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math toys geared towards those age groups.
So what’s in the box? Amazon tells buyers:
Amazon editors work closely with smart and trusted brands we love to handpick the best STEM toys. From programmable robots to rockin’ crystal kits and chemistry sets to cool arithmetic toys, STEM Club will challenge and inspire while expanding young minds through play.
Available only to U.S. residents (for the time being), you aren’t necessarily going to save money by purchasing the items as part of the kit as opposed to buying them individually. Instead what Amazon appears to be trying to do is to help parents with the selection of STEM toys.
Have you signed up for Amazon’s STEM subscription kit? What do you think of it? Let us know in the comments.
