If you ever need to unlock restricted PDF file that prevents you from copying, editing or printing the contents then FreeMyPDF can help. It is a simple online utility where you can upload a PDF file and quickly remove its restrictions.

    Thanks for this post! I recently discovered also a It is a similar website. I find it more user friendly.

      I tried it but it choked on my PDF, maybe because it's 153mb, but on it worked.

    Anybody actually get this site to work? It just says the unlocking of {filename} failed because of the following reason(s): * The file submitted is not a PDF

    Why, yes, it is. So I tried to report the error using their web form, but that failed too. "We're sorry, but your message was not sent. This is probably a technical problem on our server"

    Well, that was fun.
