Free Games for PS Plus & Xbox Live in April 2017

It’s time for some springtime gaming. Here are the free games that PlayStation Plus and Xbox Live Gold members Xbox Live vs. PlayStation Plus: What Do You Get With Each? Xbox Live

Xbox One owners will receive the launch title Ryse: Son of Rome, a mediocre launch title that has you ascend to lead the Roman Legion. The other Xbox One title is The Walking Dead: Season 2 — it’s the second part of the episodic drama game. Season 1 was free in 2015.

If you’ve got an Xbox 360, you can check out Darksiders, an action RPG in which you control one of the four horsemen of the apocalypse. Assassin’s Creed Revelations, an entry in Ubisoft’s open-world series The True History of Assassin's Creed Read More which preceded AC III, is your other free 360 title.

Remember that Xbox One owners can also play the Xbox 360 titles through backwards compatibility.

PlayStation Plus

PS4 owners will receive Drawn To Death at its launch. It’s a third-person shooter and brawler that takes place inside a student’s notebook. The PS4 will also receive the couch co-op game Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime, in which you must work with your friends to pilot a battleship through space.

On the PS3, players can download Invizimals: the Lost Kingdom. This is a basic 3D platformer that lets you transform into the titular Invizimals. Also on PS3 is Alien Rage — Extended Edition, a generic first-person sci-fi shooter.


Finally, on Vita, the first free game is 10 Second Ninja, a fast-paced platformer where you only have 10 seconds to complete each stage. Vita owners will also get Curses ‘n Chaos, a 2D arena brawler with a retro look.
