Buying a 4K TV may seem like a great idea, but it does have its drawbacks. One of the main drawbacks is the lack of content actually available in 4K -- or at least that was the case for a while. Website RealOrFake4K, however, is trying to make the hunt for genuine 4K quality content a little easier.

So why does finding high-quality content matter? A 4K TV has a resolution of 4096 x 2160 pixels (or 2160p). By comparison, most regular TVs today have a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels (or 1080p). To get the most out of your 4K TV, you're going to have to do a little bit of digging.

We do have a guide for finding quality content for your 4K TV. You can also use RealOrFake4K to help you find genuine 4K movies and TV shows. As the website name indicates, there's a lot of content out there that is marketed as 4K but it isn't genuine.

Real 4K Finds True Ultra HD Content for Your 4K TV

The site includes two lists - the real 4K content and the fake, with an explanation for why it belongs in each respective list. All movies should be accompanied by links to where you can watch the content online, or where you can purchase the DVD.

Have you taken the plunge and bought a 4K TV? Do you think it was worth the extra cost? Let us know in the comments.
