A Field Guide To Fanboys

ROFL 19-06-2014

This is what I call “an oldie but a goodie”. Originally published by PCWorld in 2010, this cheat sheet perfectly describes every type of tech fanboy, and does so hilariously.

You might have heard of Apple fanboys 8 Essential Twitter Accounts for Apple Fanboys I’m not an Apple fanboy myself but I do know a few. They don’t deserve the treatment they receive, and have done throughout history. They’re still human, and still people who need love and attention... Read More , and Microsoft fanboys Why Windows Is The Way To Go: A Microsoft Fanboy's Perspective [Opinion] Everywhere I look these days, I see people proclaiming the wonders of Mac and Linux. Well, I’m a die-hard Windows user, and have been one ever since the days of Windows for Workgroups 3.11 .... Read More . But there are quite a few other terms in circulation. This guide will teach you to carefully spot them in the wild. Admittedly, it’s a little old, but still pretty fun.

Between the ride and beverage, I don't want to be an andrid fanboy anymore... Somebody please tell me that's not what all the other android nerds are like.

My favorites were Spider-Man for PS3's movie and 4x4 widgets for Android's turn-off. Hilarious.

I like the new PS3/PS4 font way better than that old Spider-Man font; that was just weird.

I'd change the show for Linux users to The IT Crowd instead of Big Bang Theory, and the beverage for Xbox 360 fanboys to Mountain Dew or Monster.

I guess I wouldn't change much else, though. I guffawed at Linkin Park being the psyche-up music for 360 fanboys.

If Jobs and Ballmer are the Champions for Mac and PC fanboys, I would have guessed Torvalds or Stallman would be listed as the Champion for Linux fanboys instead of Neal Stephenson.

Five years ago I switched from being a Linux/Windoze user to the Mac. Best decision I've made in a while. "It just works." is mostly true as I spend less time tinkering and fixing; and more time getting things done. BTW, Under "Cubicle Decor" you list an Apple IIe fish tank, but the photo is a Mac Classic. :(

Every modern desktop OS "just works" nowadays. Microsoft has a tendency to move controls around from revision to revision and *nix Window Managers don't have a standard layout, but for all that, OS X as it's shipped from Apple has pretty limited configurability and an annoying tendency to hide things from its users. The fact that some ridiculous percentage of the things we want to do now boil down to using a web browser certainly does help every modern OS "just work."

I'm a Androider, it's my 6th year on Android. and I love polished metal, I Listen to pinkfloyd by the time typing this I got the Discography and hate trance and house music , and solid snake in my hero of all time! I would never buy Prius and will never buy a T-shirt written anything on it.
you see? I just like android because I can change the interface and it has more free stuff, its just my mobile phone, not all my personality.
I dont get it, whats the point in classifying people!?
