To just about everyone's annoyance, Netflix has been testing inserting ads in between episodes. Thankfully, if you don't want any interruptions to your binge-watching habits, you can actually toggle this feature off.

For those of you who haven't spotted one of these ads just yet, Netflix has been testing inserting ads for its original shows in between episodes of shows available on the platform.

While the ads aren't as annoying as those you get on Hulu, they were unexpected. And while all users may have yet to see an ad, the feature which Netflix is currently testing, could appear on any Netflix user's screen if they have a certain feature turned on.

How to Disable the Ads in Netflix

So now to the important stuff: how do you turn it off? If you'd like to prevent Netflix from testing this feature on you, you'll have to log into your Netflix account in a browser. Once you're logged in, do the following:

  1. Click your profile picture in the top right corner and click Settings.
  2. Under the Settings section, click Test Participation
  3. You'll see just one option: Include me in tests and previews, which you can toggle off.

Of course, if Netflix decides to roll this feature out as a permanent fixture, whether or not you'll be able to opt out has yet to be revealed.

In addition to toggling off test participation, there are plenty of tips worth considering on how to get the most out of Netflix.
