Collections for Mac: Search Through All Of Your Cloud Data [Mac]

Danny Stieben 01-08-2012

There are quite a lot of different cloud services out there. Dropbox, Google Drive, Instagram, and so many more can all share your precious data in their own clouds. This is great for you when considering each service independently, but wouldn’t it be easier if you could find something you’re looking for, across all cloud services?

search your cloud

Collections for Mac is aiming to allow you to do this. Its overall goal is to allow you to search for any data on all configured clouds, and be able to edit them via cached copies. Currently the application supports Google Drive and Instagram, with support for plenty of other cloud services being worked on.

Collections is great, however, because it doesn’t just let you search through all that data, but it lets you work on it when you enter interactive mode. For now, interactive mode lets you edit your photos and add tags on Instagram, and edit or collaborate on Google documents. There’s even support for multiple Google accounts.

  • Search through all your cloud services (currently Google Drive and Instagram).
  • Edit any of it from within Collection’s interactive mode.
  • Available for Mac OS X 10.7.x+

I've seen many similar services and am considering using one. Will you also consider support for ADrive and other smaller storage service? I don't want to reupload the files already there because it takes too much time.

Actually, we're only supporting Google Docs, not Drive, right now, but stay tuned!
