Do you know any clean freaks? Perhaps you're one? Welcome to the club. When you realise just how filthy common office items are, you'll come around -- I assure you. Computer peripherals, such as keyboards and mice are cesspools of scum, grime, dirt and bacteria. As confirmed by the University of Arizona, most office keyboards contain 70 percent more bacteria than a toilet seat. If you don't bother cleaning your keyboard, you may be in more trouble than you know. Even though my workstation is in the comfort of my own home, I make it a habit to wipe down my keyboard and mouse before every session -- just to remove any remnants from the previous day.

While you're at it, you may as well clean up the computer cable clutter under your desk.
