Web developers and graphic designers often experiment with different shades of the same color. One way to get different shades of the same color would be to add different quantities of black and / or white into the color to make it darker or brighter. But a far easier approach would be to use a helpful tool called Chroma.

Chroma is a free to use browser tool that is a must-have for web developers and graphic designers who experiment with colors. The tool comes as a browser app for Google Chrome. You can use the application type in the HEX code of a color you like; alternatively you can select your color from the color pallet provided. After you select a color, its different shades are generated and displayed along with their HEX codes. Clicking on a color shade copies its HEX code directly to the clipboard.
