People act like jerks when they think they're anonymous. Case in point: ChatRoulette. This site lets users talk with random people on the Internet under a veil of anonymity, and the results are frequently less than classy.

Enter ChatRouletteMap, a new mashup site that identifies where in the world Chat Roulette users are chatting from. This user, for example, thought he was anonymous:

This site is a service, but it also serves as a lesson: you're not really anonymous online. Everywhere you go online you leave a trail, and this trail can not only be followed by law enforcement officials, it can also be followed by the people you're offending online. User beware!
