Cortana can do lots of awesome tasks 6 Coolest Things You Can Control with Cortana in Windows 10 Cortana can help you go hands-free on Windows 10. You can let her search your files and the web, make calculations, or pull up the weather forecast. Here we cover some of her cooler skills. Read More in Windows 10. From looking up information quickly to changing system settings without digging through menus, voice control with Cortana is quite useful.

If you often use Cortana’s services, you probably know that you can enable the “Hey, Cortana” voice keyword to search instantly. Those who like to tweak everything might prefer to change this phrase. Using an app called MyCortana, you can do just that.

MyCortana will run instantly once you launch it; you don’t have to install anything. Once you open it, click the Settings button to add some keywords. You can add up to ten phrases that will activate Cortana in the same way that “Hey, Cortana” does.

Perhaps you could add some movie references here, such as “Go Go Gadget” or “Jarvis.” Or, you could just rename Cortana to something else, and say “Dear Julie” to wake her. If you can’t think of anything, try something really silly, like “Pretty Pickles.”

Note that in our testing, one-word wake phrases didn’t seem to work as reliably as those with a couple of words. Everything we placed as a wake word did work, even “Um.”

Cortana will only respond to your custom phrases if MyCortana is running, so check the Run at Startup box to let the app run every time you boot your computer. If you have multiple Windows 10 devices, this app should help you prevent them all from responding to one “Hey, Cortana” call.

I tried this, I set the name to Keldon but when I say "Keldon" or "Hey Keldon" nothing happens I set the name to Darling like in the video but again, nothing happened. When I say "Hey Cortana" like usual, it works. Is there something I'm doing wrong, maybe? I'm using version

The same thing happened to me, but when I opened MyCortana, and then said the wake word (Ultron), it worked. I find it most efficient to pin MyCortana to Start and click it every time I want to wake Ultron, or I just use Cortana.
