Click on your profile picture and go to My Account > Subtitle Appearance. From there you can change the font, color, shadow, and background.

The selection is limited to seven fonts, including a typewriter font, a cursive font, small caps, and even a font that is very reminiscent of Comic Sans. A few of them are harder to read than the default so they may not be ideal for you, but if you want to try something a little different, Netflix certainly provides options.

When you change the settings in your profile on Netflix, you should see the change across all of your devices. Luckily, it’s a profile-specific feature, so even if you change your subtitle appearance, other friends of family members who share your Netflix account shouldn’t be affected.

    Thank god! I hate the black subtitles, you can never see them

    That works very well in almost all languages..but in the Arabic language I can not change the type or size of the font.
    The default size is very small and it costs me a lot to read the subtitles
