Do you ever feel unsafe walking home alone at night, or do you know someone who does? If you're the type who will escort friends home or at the very least ensure they send you a text message once they've arrived safely then you will love bSafe. It takes this concept and automates much of the process using iOS and Android apps.
bSafe is a premium service with an attractive free option, and the basic account comes with some very worthwhile safety features.
For no money whatsoever, Android and iOS users can send an alert by tapping the SOS button which then notifies close friends (of their choosing) where they are using GPS co-ordinated via text message or call and that they need help. This is the app's core function as a panic button which is a lot quicker than notifying people of a problem manually.
Also included with a basic account is the option to receive a fake call and one-tap "I'm here" notifications so that friends and family are alerted of your safe arrival via SMS.
For $1.99 per month the premium account adds live GPS tracing to the SOS button, as well as the ability to stream GPS info to a friend so that they can track the journey home. Another premium feature is the ability to have an alarm automatically sound if you do not check in by a designated time.
