BetterGrooveshark: Flash & Ad Free Grooveshark Experience

Grooveshark is one of the best online music services today. However, Grooveshark’s choice to use Flash for their primary interface have turned away some users. Fortunately, we have BetterGrooveshark, a user script that strips ads and Flash and replaces it with a sleeker, faster, more functional Grooveshark interface.

To install Grooveshark, make sure you have a plugin that can run userscripts such as Greasemonkey for Chrome and Firefox. Then click on Better Grooveshark’s main page, then install the script by clicking the “Install” button.

Available in all major browsers, Better Grooveshark gives you an ad-free interface and scrobbling with Last.fm. Users familiar with Grooveshark will also find the lyrics side bar on the right side of the page. This userscript also adds a cross-fader, the title of the currently playing song in the browser title bar, and faster search.

Better Grooveshark is a cool tool for users who use Grooveshark for their music streaming needs. This simple app makes a magnificent app that much better.

    Not to be overly critical, but come on. Bad headline grammar makes MakeUseOf look unprofessional.

    Or you could actually try supporting the awesomeness of Grooveshark by not being a bitch and pay their ridiculously low subscription fee, instead of ripping it off to bleed them to death.
