Are you scared of what Google would do with your data, or do you trust Google to do the right thing?

Well, after what happened lately with Huawei (which I'm not defending in any case), it's obvious now that google(R) (from now on I'll use the (R) so people don't forget that it's a corporation) have no problem to drop down the interests of millions of its ("its" in bold) clients with a finger move from the US government. That shows that we are only tools in a war (economic or political or whatever).
Google is a real disappointment for me, I really believed they once have an ethical vision when dealing with people.

I think it's really the time that every internet user or geek wakes up and trust no corporation, It's really the time to save the internet again and find or maybe build real Google alternatives.
Internet must be free, data must be free and people must be free from the monopolism of such corporations

As much as I dislike Google's all-encompassing data-collection efforts (like having someone punch you in the face), - suggestions like Microsoft, Facebook and Yahoo is like punching *yourself* in the face.

Yep. Better to give all for one company. Than all of them. Google already has everything. So use a really private service for private stuff. Not Microsoft of Facebook.
Only Dropbox is good for privacy. Imho from these recommendations.
