The Game: Luftrausers is a fantastic arcade-style game where you fly an airplane around trying to rack up as many points as you possibly can by blowing up everything that gets in your way. It has that real old-school feel that most modern games can't deliver, but it does it with the modern conveniences we all expect today. The lack of cross-save functionality isn't a big deal in this one because it's a score attack game. It's definitely worth a look.

TheGame: OlliOlli is a skateboarding game that, in many ways, feels a lot like a puzzle game and an endless runner bundled up into one amazing package. You try to make it from the start of the level to the end, all the while combing together awesome tricks and looking incredibly cool. The game gets hard, especially if you aim to complete all of the challenges to get the pro versions of the levels, but that adds a ton of value. Even after hours of play, I am still hooked on OlliOlli, which is more than you can usually say for these kinds of games.

The Game: Rogue Legacy is a roguelike, a genre we have covered before at MakeUseOf, but it puts some of its own creative spins on it by incorporating platforming and a system that changes the properties of your next character in some interesting ways. The Game: Here's another Roguelike with platforming elements, but it's too good to leave it off the list even though it falls into the same game genre as another game included. We've covered Spelunky before, and it's downright fantastic. The game has a community of hardcore players that grind through the daily runs, trying to put up the best scores possible. It has a high skill ceiling, which means you'll be able to play it for hours on end while constantly getting better. It's a real value.

The Game: The Swapper is an incredibly interesting puzzle game where you clone yourself and then jump your consciousness to the clones. Your goal is to make it to the end of the level by swapping. Of course, it gets complicated, as certain places will not allow you to create clones or move to the ones you've created. This game requires some serious creative thinking, and for people who love puzzle games that are more than just matching colored pieces, The Swapper is the perfect game.
