    Closest thing to tech I get on vacation is seeing game highlights on a bar tv screen or the radio in my tent. Great article, everyone should give it a try.

    Asking me to take a tech-free vacation (if I actually GOT one) would be like telling a foodie to camp out in the McDonald's parking lot...more torment than pleasure.

    I took my first tech-free vacation this year although I had brought all my gadgets with me because the hotel's Wi-Fi was down and this actually allowed me to enjoy my vacation more and let my brain rest.

    Unfortunately we are brainwashed into the Puritan Work Ethic and sites like MUO only reenforce that with their "Zillion Ways to Be more Productive While.... (Taking a Dump, Sleeping, In a Coma In a Hospital [pick one])" articles. A 0th Commandment has been added to the other 10 - "Thou Shalt Be Productive at ALL Times!" Taking it easy or taking time off is considered to be THE Cardinal Sin.
