Nancy Messieh 27-02-2013

There’s no denying how much easier smartphones make our lives – and one of the things that has become all the more easy thanks to the wide variety of apps available – it’s online shopping 7 Tricks That'll Help You Waste Less Money Online Who needs willpower when you can trick yourself into spending less money online? Read More . Using nothing more than your phone, you can buy just about anything from a car to a notebook, from a computer to a home. And you can also use that same phone to make sure that you’re getting the best deal.

We’ve put together a list of five must-have iPhone shopping apps. These apps make it easy to find and snag good deals on the go, will notify you when there are new sales on, and can even let you know when an item you’re after hits your target price. Here they are, in no particular order.

The iOS eBay app offers users the complete bidding experience on the go. It’s even a little bit better than using the website since you can receive notifications directly on your phone reminding you when an item you’re watching is set to expire, if you’ve been outbid, and also lets you know that lovely moment when something you’ve bid on is finally yours.

You can browse eBay’s endless stock by category, or by special deals, and the app is, of course, complete searchable. As an added bonus, the app has a native barcode scanner, making it easier than ever to check items when you’re out and about shopping, to see if you can find (and snag) a better deal online. Refine your search by narrowing it down to just auction or buy-it-now items, bid on them, and even pay for your purchases all within the app.

When it comes to your own account – you can keep track of the items you’re watching, what you’ve bid on, and if you happen to be a seller, what you’re selling. It also saves the most recent items you’ve viewed.

If you’re in the mood for something a little more artsy or creative, why not check out Etsy’s iOS app. As is to be expected – the app is slick, pretty, and can be very dangerous in the hands of a die-hard Etsy fan.

You can explore Etsy items by a variety of categories – for him, for her, seasonal, gadgets, home and more. Or if you already know what you want to buy, you can simply search for the item.

On your own profile page, you can keep track of your purchases and feedback you’ve received from other Etsy users. In what really is an extremely smart move, the Etsy iOS app has something of a social network feel to it. You can add items to your favourites by hitting the ‘heart’ button, and can ‘follow’ sellers to keep up with their latest wares.

The personalized social network touches Etsy brings to its app will likely have you opening the app up more often.

Do you want to take advantage of Fab’s daily sales? The best way to do that is to download the app. Like clockwork, twice a day, you can receive notifications on your phone that let you know exactly when the new wares have hit the app.

While anyone can now sign up to use Fab, it certainly does push the idea of exclusivity, by giving limited member-only access to its unique and cool products. Like Etsy, Fab definitely brings a social network feel to the shopping experience – you even have a feed where you can follow what other Fab users are faving.

You can view the latest sales from the home tab,  while taking a look at the calendar tab is a great way to know what to watch out for in the next few days – so if there’s a seller you’re particularly interested in, you can always add a reminder using the native iPhone reminder app.

No online shopping list could possibly be complete without Amazon. Certainly needing no introduction, Amazon has had such a significant effect on brick-and-mortar stores that giants like Best Buy are now promising to price match, not only other competitor stores, but its online competition is now included in the mix.

With the Amazon app you can search, browse categories, make purchases and track your packages, and keep up with your entire Amazon experience – all from one packed iOS app that you definitely don’t want to miss.

I've got Ebay, Amazon, and DealExtreme as regulars on my iPad. I use them a lot, especially Ebay. I've actualy got pricegrabber recently (by coincidence) and think it is amazing, haven't had any problems yet and has helped me snag a few deals!

As usual, eBay and Amazon are the kings of shopping. I also like DealExtreme (both iPhone and Android versions exist) : [Broken Link Removed] and AliBaba : https://itunes.apple.com/tr/app/alibaba-for-iphone/id503451073?mt=8
