I'm such a big fan of Amazon, and if you're someone who shops online then you have almost no choice but to be. You can get anything and everything on Amazon. It's trusted and reliable. It should be the first thing that comes to your mind when you turn to the internet to purchase something. Another thing that Amazon does quite well is offer some really great Amazon deals.

You've probably heard of Amazon Prime, especially if you're a student. Amazon Prime is a subscription-based membership you can purchase through Amazon that will qualify you for free two-day shipping for an entire year. It is extremely cost-efficient if you're a big spender at Amazon. Even if you make a purchase every other month, it's completely worth it. This isn't the end of the cost-saving goodies that Amazon offers. Let me introduce you to a few others.

Amazon Deals & Bargains

The Deals & Bargains page is the general landing page where you can find almost every special that Amazon offers.

Directly from this page, you're shown several deals straight away. As you can see from the Deals in Computers & Accessories section in the screenshot above, each category of deals is separated by how much you're going to save by shopping through this page. If you're trying to save the most money, that makes it incredibly easy for you.

From the left-hand menu, you're able to access a lot of areas that will be covered further down this post, including the Top Holiday Deals.

When any holiday comes along, this is where you'll want to be. If there are no ongoing holidays, you'll see what's shown in the screenshot above. Let's get into some more of the sections that branch out from this page.

Amazon Warehouse Deals

Amazon's Warehouse Deals are great for finding huge discounts on open-box or refurbished items.

I've shopped through the Warehouse Deals very often, and everything I've ever purchased arrived to me in a condition that I considered to be brand new. If anything was ever open-box, I didn't notice. If any product I purchased was refurbished, I had no idea.

These are some of the steepest discounts you're going to find on the entire website, so I really emphasize looking into this section. The Grocery section of Warehouse Deals is particularly useful. Obviously, Amazon won't be selling any "open-box groceries," but these products are all approaching their sell-by date and Amazon offers them at serious discounts.

If you're a snacker, don't be scared to look at this section. Amazon won't be sending you any expired products. Maybe they don't have your favorite flavor of Cheetos where you live? You might find them, in bulk, at some ridiculous price over in the Warehouse Deals. It's a very useful Amazon deals section.

Gold Box Deals

Gold Box Deals are a very popular attraction on Amazon. During events like Black Friday, these are hot. You should know that there is a page where you can see all existing Gold Box Deals.

Gold Box Deals are time-sensitive and quite limited, so it's something you really want to jump on. There's a tab that allows you to see deals that are upcoming and deals you've missed, also. The former is very useful. Amazon doesn't always outright tell you what the deal is going to be though. You have to wait around for them.

Further down, each page shows a more complete list of Amazon deals and there is a menu on your left-hand side that allows you to narrow your shopping down by category.

Add-on Items

Add-on Items are a very interesting new exclusive to Amazon that I've been taking advantage of. You should be, too!

Add-on Items are tricky because they are not set aside in their own separate section like the Warehouse Deals and Gold Box Deals. Add-on Items are sort of just scattered around the Amazon website. You have to find them by looking for the Add-on Items tag.

You can see what the tag looks like in the listing for Chex Mix above. Add-on Items are usually small, cheap, single items. They're perfect for filling your cart with if you need to meet any quota to qualify for free shipping or any other deal. I'd even say it's fun just searching through the listing on Amazon to find a cheap add-on to stuff your cart with.

If you love Amazon, be a savvy shopper. There is so much money to be saved just by having an experience of the shopping through Amazon. Make use of these areas of the website and you will fall in love with shopping online. It's one of the world's biggest online retailers after all.
