Looking for an Android tablet, $20 off $100 at Staples or a laptop that comes with a free Windows 8.1 tablet? If so, you’ve come to the right place! This week you’ll find some rather steep discounts on excellent hardware.

Tablet Users

Tablet users rejoice – this week, we’ve got literally a plethora of tablets at steep discounts.

2013 Nexus 7 32GB

nexus 7 2013

  • Price: $229; compare to $269.99 MSRP
  • Retailer: eBay

The Nexus series remains one of the best hardware series in electronics history. The 2013 Nexus 7 doesn’t depart from its pedigree. It offers a Snapdragon S4 Pro (actually a Snapdragon 600, underclocked), 2GB of RAM, NFC, GPS and one of the highest resolution screens you can find in a 7-inch format. It’s currently discounted by 15% on eBay.

We haven’t yet reviewed the latest Nexus 7, although we did evaluate the 2012 Nexus 7 Google Nexus 7 (16GB) Android Tablet Review and Giveaway We purchased a 16GB Nexus 7 for $249 which I've been reviewing for a week or so now, and I've really grown to love the little thing. • Price: $259.99
  • Retailer: Staples — Buy it Now

The Samsung Galaxy Note (the original) offers a relatively low resolution WXGA screen (1280×800), 1GB of RAM, a Wacom-like experience and a quad-core CPU. This particular deal also combines with many cash-back deals from credit cards, unlike laptops. On the downside, it only offers Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) and is already over two years old.

This particular model is quite similar to the Galaxy Note II Samsung Galaxy Note II Review and Giveaway The Samsung Galaxy Note II is an Android Jelly Bean driven hybrid between a smartphone and a tablet. Its key features are a 5.5-inch large HD Super AMOLED display and an integrated active stylus, called... Read More .

Laptop Users

Craving a tablet and laptop in a single package? You’ll get a very good deal this week!

Lenovo IdeaPad U430 Touch with IdeaTab Miix Tablet

lenovo ideapad and ideatab miix

  • Price: $699.99; compare to $1,129.98
  • Retailer: Best Buy – Buy it Now

Update: This particular deal has bounced in and out of online availability. If it’s currently out of stock online, check your local store for availability.

This is a really great deal. For the price of the laptop alone, you get a Lenovo IdeaTab Miix for free. The laptop in this instance possesses great specification, using the latest Haswell CPU Core i7 model, 4GB of RAM and a hybrid SSD/HDD hard drive.

The tablet offers Windows 8.1 and a dual core (likely Atom CPU) processor, along with a sizeable 32GB of data. Unfortunately, it’s not entirely clear whether this deal is for the Miix 2 (with Windows 8.1) or if it’s for the Miix with Windows RT. It appears to be for the Miix 2, although you would want to double check. The laptop alone makes this a reasonably good deal – the Windows tablet makes this a great deal, provided it is with Windows 8.1 instead of the dreaded Windows RT.

This week, we’ve got a great sale from Staples.

Staples $20 off $100 Extravaganza Sale

  • Price: $20 off $100
  • Retailer: Staples
  • Coupon: Link

This is one of my favorite deals this week. However, be aware that the link above connects to a third party site seeking to install a browser plug-in – don’t install this. If you cancel, it will direct you to the coupon.

On the downside, as with most Staples coupons, there’s a long list of exceptions. Be sure to read the link’s fine print before making a purchase.

I really like Staples’s $20 off $100 deal this week. It offers flexibility and, if you understand that Staples doesn’t discount desktops, laptops and e-readers, great value. However, my favorite deal this week is for the 2013 Nexus 7 with 32GB of storage. Nexus series devices universally offer great value, at MSRP. With any kind of discount, they offer insane value.

That’s it for this week folks! Check back next week for the same great deals!
