AirDropper: Lets Non-Dropbox Users Send Files To Your Dropbox

Israel Nicolas 27-08-2010

While Dropbox’s file synchronization and sharing is a useful feature, it only works if both people have Dropbox accounts. For most Dropbox users, the online cloud storage is an essential part of their computing and it can be quite frustrating when dealing with people who have no Dropbox account.

AirDropper is a web service that allows you to request a file from any person, even those who doesn’t have a Dropbox account. That person can then send you the file either through email or by a secure upload link that Dropbox provides, depending on your preference.

To use AirDropper, first you need to log in and connect with your Dropbox account. Then fill out a request form for a file by inputting your and that person’s email address, as well as the description of the file that you are requesting.

If you just want to send a secure upload link instead of having the file sent through email, simply tick the “don’t send them an email” box. Once the file is sent to you, you can find it at the AirDropper subfolder in your Dropbox account.

AirDropper is a great tool for power Dropbox users who want every file sent to them organized in Dropbox. This is especially useful if you want to live strictly in the cloud.
