Go outside and do your work there, it helps to remove the stale and dull environment you're in. It would also help to make a room with all white walls and no window, take only what you need then stay there.

Do people really beleive this bul****? No one method works for everyone. You have to find what works best for you.

    1. Mornings for yourself? This is your planning time. Decide what you need to get done and make the list

    2. The 80/20 rule..... Try leaving out those tasks on the 20 list and see how fast your business dies.

    3. Same as the 80/20 rule.... Cut your list in half and watch your business die.

    4. NO....Taking a break will break the concentration..... Instead change your environment to help get you back on track.

    5. E-mail..... The most important business tool. Ignore your e-mail and watch yourself start getting left out of the loop. Learning how to work the office e-mail system is the secret to success in the office.

    6. BULL!!!! if you can't do 10 things at once then I don't need you. Learn how to do it and bask in your success.

    7. Laziness, the great time waster. E-mail and meetings, without them a business would die. The trick is to keep meetings and e-mails short and to the point.

    8. Here we go again, check your e-mail and phone messages only 2 - 3 times a day. Do this in my company and you will find yourself unemployed in 2 sec flat. Part of your job is to respond to those e-mails and phone calls in a timely manner. If you don't it sends the signal that you are a rude person that thinks of themselves before anyone else.

So... my take on this list of advice from my 30+ years being self employed.

Now it's time to focus on the other 10 things I have to get done this morning!
