gifts for gamersThe holiday season is upon us. The hardcore gamer in your life is going to want some cool video game paraphernalia to go along with their hobby. There are plenty of cool gifts for gamers out there that you can grab at the last minute and make their holiday one to remember. Sure, Christmas is only about a week away, but fear not, with a little extra cash for shipping, or a trip to the mall, you can still get some cool gamer gifts and make your favorite gamers happy.

The fact is, the video game market is huge, and there are so many things you can get that your gamer friend or loved one is sure to love. As you’ve probably realized if you’ve ever read any article I’ve done, I love video games, and anything I recommend to your gamer friends is something I would love to receive as a gift myself.

Don’t wait any longer, because the holidays will have come and gone in a matter of days, and you don’t want to leave the important people in your life hanging.

The Latest Games

This might seem a little obvious, but I heard a rumor floating around that gamers like games. There are plenty of big releases this holiday season. There’s even a new console on the market in the Wii U. For games, you can grab them something like Assassins Creed 3, Black Ops 2, Far Cry 3, the Skyrim DLC, and the list goes on and on. For the gamer on your list, if you don’t want to get creative, getting them games is always a safe bet.

The Gift of Classic Gaming

Why not take your gamer friends on a trip back in time and give them a classic video game system? Personally, I recommend a Super Nintendo (or Super Famicom, depending where in the world you are located). It offers the perfect balance of classic gameplay without some of the issues you find with an original NES (Famicom) and the same classic enjoyment. There is 721 retail games available, and many of them only cost a few dollars. For the price of one current generation console, you can grab a Super Nintendo and a couple of games for the gamer in your life.

The Angry Video Game Nerd DVD Set [No Longer Available]

In a previous article The 6 Best Angry Video Game Nerd Episodes [MUO Gaming] "He's gonna take you back to the past, to play the . . ." For many a gamer, this song is immediately recognizable as the theme to the Angry Video Game Nerd. After all, "he's... Read More , I made it quite obvious that I am a huge fan of the Angry Video Game Nerd, and his DVD box set makes a great gift for the gamer in your life. You get over 100 episodes of the show and lots of bonus features that will keep your favorite gamers entertained for hours. Another great thing about it is that it’s not region coded, so you can grab it no matter where in the world you live, as long as the receiver of the gift (or yourself) has a working DVD player.

The Final Issue of Nintendo Power

After a long and illustrious run, Nintendo Power is not being printed anymore. The December issue of the magazine will bring an end to an era of one of, if not the greatest video game magazines ever created. If you have a gamer in your life, and you don’t want to spend a lot of money, grabbing them the last issue of the magazine is a perfect gift. You can grab this from anywhere you get magazines, or from Nintendo itself.

No longer are video games some taboo hobby only for nerds. Gamers are proud to show off that they are a gamer, and what better way to do that than with some cool video game themed shirts? Whether you go classic or current is up to you, but there are lots of shirts out there for gamers either way.

Thinkgeek is a great place to find awesome gamer T-Shirts at good prices. What better way to make your gamer friends smile than with a shirt that tells the world about their favorite hobby?

Gift Cards

You could go with Amazon, iTunes, Steam, Xbox Live points, PSN cards, Gamestop, Best Buy, and lots of other places to let your gamers pick their own gifts.

So there you have it; everything you need to make the gamers on your holiday list happy. Whether they want more games, clothes, entertainment or the ability to pick their own gifts, you will be ready to make their holiday a happy one!

I would recommend giving a basket ball or football or baseball set or badminton rackets. Really we should keep ourselves away from these digital pleasures away so that there is no bad effect on health. Gifting Xbox kinect and wii u would be better option.
