Limbo, Lucid Lifehub and Google Time. In that order!

The Limbo and Lucid Lifehub look so nice. Wowee!

This and Google glass will go the way of the bluetooth earpiece. Cool at first, but ridiculous after time. Smartphones are good b/c you can put them away.

I did enjoy the article Jackson. I just think we're moving towards less physical hardware rather than more. I'm good friends with Chris Walker of Secret labs (just kickstarted $1M+ for his AGENT watch.) and have debated the relevance of smart watches with him many times. He almost changed my mind, and who knows, he still might. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/secretlabs/agent-the-worlds-smartest-watch

These days the number one reason for timepieces ownership is fashion. We all know that's not enough to drive a smartwatch industry, especially with the extra costs associated and mass number of unit sales needed for a smart device to be successful compared to a typical designer watch.

The real question is how this type of high end item will fit in next to phones and, in my opinion, the inevitability of AR visors. I'm just not convinced there's a place for smart watches.

    Limbo is awesome

I really like the looks of the Limbo but have concerns about the size. Even if it is the size of a small smart phone it weigh a fair amount and that might make it less useful.

My second choice would be the Degreas Watch since I bike around a lot. I do however have my concerns about it getting scratched like my regular watch does. In that case I still think the Degreas would be a better balance.

Can you wear these like a regular watch. My watches always get scratched and stuff due to accidentally bumping into things. I do wear my watch right near my wrist. That's where the smartwatch would go. Would that really be safe?

      There's always screen-protectors!

The Zizzou watch is the one that looks the least ridiculous on the arm. I like the concept. I don't think it needs to be as functional as a smartphone, just extra features, like a calendar, weather, and calculator in addition to the time, maybe gps. I love my watch and know a phone can't replace it as my watch is conveniently on my arm where as a phone is inconveniently not.

I'm not interested in the iWatch as I am not interested in anything Apple.

You're right. A smartwatch should accompany, not replace a smartphone.

None please. I have no interest in an iWatch. I use my iPhone as a watch, its always with me and I can just use glasses to see its screen. :)

I would definitely get the google one and/or lifehub. Wouldn't be super easier and fun?!
