With the booster rails I made a whole moniraol system all over my single player world linking all of my bases by the booster tracks, You can just continually lay down booster track and put a red torch every 8 spaces and just have it continuously go, and to stop you just have a section of ordinary rail and then have an unpowered booster track (About six of them) to serve as a brake when you reach your base.
