I would advise against doing it on Youtube as other youtubers have reported that there is massive lag between comments and what's going on on-screen. They mostly use Twitch TV.

To stream your live videos on YouTube first you have to register there as a partner and you must have streaming rights of videos. You can promote your live videos on the home page of YouTube.com to get more viewers.

This is one scenario I've seen suggested: http://www.stuckincustoms.com/2012/07/27/how-to-set-up-a-large-scale-live-webinar-with-youtube-live-and-google-hangouts/. It is a bit detailed, but would get you to what you need.Would be nice if it was slightly easier.

I think the right to livestream is reserved for "content partners whose accounts are in good standing."http://www.youtube.com/yt/creators/http://www.youtube.com/yt/creators/partner.htmlyou first need to apply for their partnership program
