When it’s time to relax at the end of a long day, it's easy to turn to an online service. This could be streaming a YouTube video, jamming out to your after-work playlist on Spotify, or browsing through your Instagram feed.

There are other online services we turn to, like video game streaming, but the kinds mentioned above are the big three for most people. If you had to stop using one of these three online services, which would it be? And let us know your reason why in the comments!

Music Streaming

Though some people listen to music while doing nothing else, that’s not usually the norm. It’s easy to stream music while you’re doing the dishes, finishing homework, or working out. With so many free music streaming alternatives, it’s something everyone can enjoy.

Popular music streaming services include Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, and Amazon Music. Music streaming services that act like radio, such as Pandora, would also be lumped into this online service grouping.

Most music streaming platforms also host podcasts, but there are dedicated streaming services for podcasts as well. If you could give up your music streaming, but not podcast streaming, choose the “Other” option as a poll answer and let us know in the comments.

Video Streaming

There are new TV shows and movies coming out practically every week, and there’s an abundance of amazing content that already exists within video streaming services. It might be easy to give up one video streaming service, but could you give up all of them?

Popular video streaming services include Netflix, Disney+, Max (formerly HBO Max), Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV+, and Hulu. A service like YouTube would also be included as a video streaming option, even though it has more amateur user-produced content than professionally produced content.

Social Media

It's a well-known idea that social media can have negative effects on people. Despite this, people spend hours each day on various social media platforms.

There are plenty of reasons why social media can be good for you too, but we often only hear about the negative. For example, social media is a great way to foster community with like-minded strangers. People also like to share their lives on social media with friends and family, or just for themselves as a way to look back on happy memories.

Which Online Service Would You Choose to Give Up?

This is an incredibly tough question, but I think I'd give up social media services. I end up wasting so much time on Instagram and Twitter anyway, and I couldn't imagine giving up music or video streaming completely.

But what about you? If you had to give up all your music streaming services, video streaming services, or social media platforms, which would you rather stop using?
