Whenever a popup appears in a tab, the rest of the window in the background dims to gray. Is there a way to stop this from happening? It's a lot like when the UAC prompt pops up and dims the desktop, and I think this issue started in Firefox 5.
Hoping for an extension or a Greasemonkey script. Thanks!
Running Firefox 5, Windows 7

But I don't mind the popup...it's not a virus or anything. I would just like the background to stop dimming.

Why not use something like the Firefox extension called
AdBlock Plus
and stop the pop-up from appearing in the first place.
