Since podcasts have exploded in popularity, it's tough to find one worth listening to among all the noise. If you're feeling overwhelmed with your podcast options, Spotify has unleashed a small new tool to help you find one you'll love.

Let's look at Spotify's Find the One site and see how it helps you find a podcast you're likely to enjoy.

Try Find the One From Spotify

To get started, visit the Find the One website. Though it's a Spotify page, you don't need to have a Spotify account, or be signed into your account, to use it. However, be aware that the service is only available to those in the US, UK, Germany, and Australia.

Spotify Find the One Start

Click Meet your perfect podcast to begin. The tool will then ask you a series of five questions to make its podcast determination for you. However, they aren't boring questions like "Which of these genres is your favorite?" or "How long is your ideal podcast?" Instead, the tool is set up like it's trying to find you a romantic match.

Because of this, the questions have some flavor. For example, the first question is How does your perfect podcast win you over? and gives some humorously specific answer choices, like A very serious, high-stakes go-kart battle, complete with an award ceremony.

Click Next to confirm each answer and you'll see a fun animation between questions. Your answer to the first question affects the possible responses for the second one, but the rest are always the same.

Spotify Find the One Questions

One of the questions asks you to drag a slider to choose whether your ideal podcast is serious or lighthearted, while another asks what level of commitment you're looking for. After you answer all the questions, you'll see what Spotify thinks is your perfect podcast.

Finding Your Perfect Podcast

On our first pass, we got The Ringer-Verse, a Spotify original podcast covering superheroes and pop culture entertainment. The second time, with different answers, our podcast match was Criminal, a show about people who were criminals or victims of one.

Each one includes some descriptors under Personality, helping you get a grip on what it offers.

Of course, you'll see a link to open the podcast on Spotify. But most podcasts are available elsewhere, so you can search for the name on Apple Podcasts, Stitcher, or wherever you listen to podcasts instead, if you prefer.

Spotify Find the One Result

Click Tell everyone to share your results on social media, if you like. For other recommendations, hit the You might also love link. And to look at more of what Spotify offers, choose Explore more to browse a variety of podcasts by genre.

If you're not happy with the result, hit Re-Match at the top to give it another try. Answer the questions differently for a fresh result.

More Ways to Discover Podcasts

This tool from Spotify is fun, but it's not the only way to discover new podcasts. If you find the questions too abstract, plenty of services will help you pick a podcast with clearer qualifications.

To start, you can use Spotify's own Podcast Charts to find top shows in your region. This is a great way to see what's hot and give it a try yourself. If you'd rather find something lesser-known, try some uncommon ways to find great podcasts. Those are better for finding shows that don't hit the popular charts.

Spotify Loves Podcasts

Whether you're a Spotify user who hasn't given podcasts a try yet or are always up for a new podcast recommendation, it's worth spending a few minutes with the Find the One site. You never know when you'll find a show you end up loving!
