Does anyone know how you can run a filter on a Hotmail account to sort emails? I have set up a filter, but it is only going to filter new incoming mail. How do I filter mail I already have?
I can't seem to find a solution. This is why Gmail is much better then Hotmail.
Thanks

If those emails has something in common then you can simply search your inbox for the common keyword and then check all of them and move them to the desired folder.

Hotmail itself speaks of "incoming eMails", so I guess there is not automatic way.Why don't you just use GMail per default and import all your Hotmail eMails? You can download your existing Hotmail eMails to your computer and then upload them to GMailYou can also receive incoming Hotmail eMails in GMail as Jack describes:http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/email-hack-easily-access-your-emails-from-hotmail-in-gmail/
