While defragging my sons laptop we deleted some software that allowed us to access the wireless Internet and now we don't know how to replace the software. Do we need to go to a computer store or can we get some thing free off the net on one of the laptops we have that can get on the internet?

open device manager and see which device has no driver installed install the driver of that device most probably you deleted the netwark adapter driver

If you are referring to a private wireless lan you don't need any software to connect to it.Start the
Wireless Zero Configuration
service. Afterwards the wireless status symbol of Windows should prompt you that there are networks available.If you are referring to a mobile internet e.g. using some USB modem you usually can download the tools for the modem at the service providers homepage.
