Snapchat is rolling out a new game: Bitmoji Paint. The game plants your Bitmoji avatar on a shared canvas with hundreds of other users, where you're tasked with contributing to a giant collage.

Hop on a Shared Canvas With Bitmoji Paint

Bitmojis are the customizable avatars that have become ubiquitous on Snapchat. You can use them to transform into a cartoonish version of yourself, customizing everything from your outfit and hair color to the overall structure of your face.

With your Bitmoji, you can jump into the virtual world of Bitmoji Paint. The platform introduced the new game in a post on the Snapchat Newsroom.

In Bitmoji Paint, your avatar will land on a pixelated canvas with hundreds of other players, all of which are making their own contributions to a shared painting in real-time.

Snapchat notes that the massive canvas may consist of "simple scribbles, fun messages or even giant landscapes." Ultimately, the designs depend on each user's creativity and imagination.

How to Use Bitmoji Paint

You can access Bitmoji Paint through the Chat or Search sections on Snapchat. When you enter the game, you'll find yourself looking at a planet with several islands.

Every island you see represents a separate server. In turn, each island will have different players and different drawings, providing neverending fun.

While you play, you can choose from three different modes: Move, Paint, and Map. Swapping between these modes lets you walk around the canvas, start painting, or head to a different map.

You can chat with other players on the islands only through emotes, and you can't view other users' Snap IDs. Both of these features were put in place for obvious safety reasons. Snapchat also gives you the ability to report users during the game.

If you want to enhance your Bitmoji Paint experience even more, Snapchat is also launching Snap Tokens for Android users. Snap Tokens are an in-app currency that can be purchased with real money, and they're stored in a virtual wallet on your Snapchat account.

You can use Snap Tokens in Bitmoji Paint to purchase upgrades, such as a hoverboard or rollerskates to increase your movement speed, as well as a paint roller for bigger paintings.

Snapchat Gets More Fun to Use

Snapchat is known for its array of filters and lenses that make the app so much fun to use. In between trying on silly lenses, you can head to Bitmoji Paint and add your own doodle to a huge collage.
