I need a simple way to layer a photo take over a green screen backdrop and change the green portion to another JPEG. iMovie does this automatically for movies, but how can I do it with an image? I want to be able to do this on my Mac or my iPad.

Pretty much going to have to use photoshop. At least try the 30 day trial for free and maybe somewhere down the road actually purchase it. It's probably one of my most used apps, I use it for design, photo editing, really theirselves are tons of used for it. If you do get photoshop, use the magic want or select color tool to select the green and remove it.
