If you do a lot of work in Google Drive, then you’ll know how useful it can be to connect your Google Drive with other apps. But what happens if you no longer use an app or want to check which apps currently have access to your Google Drive? Here’s what you need to do.

To organize your Google Drive and check which apps have access to your account, you'll want to go into your Drive settings.

  1. Head to the gear icon at the top right-hand corner of your screen and select Settings to open your Drive settings.

  2. Next, navigate to Manage Apps from the left-hand menu.
  3. Here you’ll see all the apps currently connected to your Google Drive.

You’ll notice that a lot of connected apps are run by Google, such as Google Sheets, Google Slides, and Google Forms. To avoid issues with your Google Drive, it’s best to leave Google apps alone.

How to Delete Connected Apps in Google Drive

If you notice that an app you no longer use is still connected to your Google Drive, or there’s an app listed that you have no recollection of, here’s how to revoke its permissions.

  1. Locate the app in your connected apps list and head to the tab labeled Options.
  2. Next, select Disconnect from Drive.

  3. Lastly, confirm that you want to remove the app from your Drive.

If the Options tab is grayed out, then this means that you cannot remove the app from your Drive.

How to Remove Hidden App Data in Google Drive

While you’re in your Google Drive settings, it’s worth checking for any hidden app data. Hidden data can sometimes hang around even after an app has been disconnected from your Google Drive.

Disconnected apps that still have data in your Google Drive will appear grayed out with the message, "This app no longer has access to Google Drive. It is using xx of hidden app data."

  1. Locate the app with hidden app data by searching for grayed apps in your connected apps list.
  2. Select the Options tab.
  3. Then select Delete hidden app data.
