HBO Max Is Offering 20% Off Its Monthly Plans
HBO Max is offering 20 percent off its monthly subscription plans until the end of January 2022.
The 20 percent discount applies to both its ad-supported and ad-free monthly plans, which typically cost $10 and $15 respectively. And unlike most streaming deals, you also qualify for the 20 percent cut even if you're a lapsed or returning subscriber.
Besides its monthly subscription rate, HBO Max offers annual rates of $100 with ads, and a $150 ad-free subscription.
How HBO Max's Limited Offer Works
Whether you've subscribed to HBO Max before or if it would be your first time, you can sign up and get your preferred plan 20 percent cheaper until January 25, 2022, at 11:59 PM PT when the promotion expires, after which you'll have to pay the normal price for your chosen subscription.
You can choose between ad-supported and ad-free plans. If you sign up for the promotion, you'll pay $8 for the ad-supported plan instead of $10, saving about $2 monthly and $24 annually.
Alternatively, if you prefer the ad-free plan for uninterrupted streaming, which is the pricier option, you'll pay $12 a month instead of $15.
This will save you about $3 a month and $36 annually, which equates to two months of the ad-free plan for free. It also makes this plan cheaper than Netflix; Netflix costs more than $15.
HBO Max is contract-free, but if you keep your reduced subscription for the whole year, you can save up to $36, depending on the plan you choose. You can also cancel your subscription anytime.

HBO Max offers access to the full HBO catalog with popular shows such as South Park, The Sopranos, The Wire, and Curb Your Enthusiasm. The deal also gives you access to WarnerMedia's vast library of movies and TV shows going back 100 years, like Braveheart and the Harry Potter films.
