Samsung had plenty to say when it announced the Galaxy S21 and S21 Ultra smartphones. However, during its extremely long presentation, the company didn't mention the inclusion of Samsung's new low-power OLED technology that'll help the phone use less energy than previous generations.

Samsung's New OLED Technology

Samsung announced the inclusion of the new OLED technology in its upcoming Galaxy S21 Ultra through a press release, and it sounds like it could be a game-changer in terms of power usage for the phone. Samsung says the new OLED technology can reduce power consumption by as much as 16 percent, which should end up being a noticeable difference.

Not only does the phone use less power, but Samsung says it can create a brighter output while sucking down less energy.

We'll need to see the phone work in the real world before knowing how much of a difference the new display technology makes. Still, if Samsung's claims are correct, it could be a good reason to spend the extra on the Galaxy S21 Ultra.

Galaxy S21 Reviews

Quite a few websites have received the Galaxy S21 for review, and the device has received rather commendable scores. If you're still on the fence, the improved battery life promised by the new OLED technology could be something to consider.
