Renders of Samsung's upcoming "Fan Edition" Galaxy S21 FE have leaked online. The renders not only confirm the existence of the device but also hint at its imminent launch.

Samsung's "FE" series of devices are popular among consumers because they bring the best features of Samsung's flagship phones at a slightly lower price tag.

Galaxy S21 FE Should Be the Cheapest Entrant in the Galaxy S21 Series

As leaked by leaker "OnLeaks" on Voice.com, the Galaxy S21 Fan Edition will likely feature a frosted "Glastic" rear with a shiny metal frame. The device will measure 155.7 x 74.5 x 7.9mm, meaning it will be 4mm taller and 3.3mm wider than the regular Galaxy S21.

At first glance, the design of the Galaxy S21 FE might look similar to the Galaxy S21. However, OnLeaks notes that the S21 FE's rear camera panel protrudes from the plastic rear panel and not the metal frame as on the Galaxy S21 series.

The Galaxy S21 FE will feature a bigger 6.4-inch flat Dynamic AMOLED display with a punch-hole selfie camera. While not mentioned, the display will likely have an FHD+ resolution with a 120Hz refresh rate.

The 6.4-inch display size means the Galaxy S21 FE will sit right between the regular Galaxy S21 with its 6.2-inch display and the 6.7-inch Galaxy S21 Plus.

The renders show that the Galaxy S21 FE will sport a triple-camera setup at the rear. The camera setup should be similar to what Samsung already offers on the regular Galaxy S21, meaning we might see a 12MP primary camera, 12MP ultrawide, and an 8MP 2x telephoto lens. The company might use cheaper lenses to keep the price of the device in check. The camera setup will be assisted by an LED flash as well.

While not mentioned, the Galaxy S21 FE could be powered by the Snapdragon 888 or Exynos 2100 chipset. It should also feature 5G support.

Samsung Galaxy S21 FE Could Launch in August

Samsung could launch the Galaxy S21 FE in August. Going by the pricing of previous Fan Edition phones from Samsung, the Galaxy S21 FE can be priced around $700, which should make it a hot seller.

Samsung has already confirmed that it won't launch a new Galaxy Note device this year, so the Galaxy S21 FE's launch will be an important one for it.
