While most of our attention tends to go towards Samsung's flagship devices like the Galaxy S21 series, the company also puts out some excellent budget and mid-range phones for buyers who don't need all the high-end specs offered by a top-of-the-line phone.
Expanding on that idea, Samsung has announced a slew of new devices in the Galaxy A line for the United States on Samsung.com, including the Galaxy A52 5G, A42 5G, A32 5G, A12, and A02s.
Samsung's New Budget-Friendly and Mid-Range A Phones
Starting with the highest phone in the line, Samsung announced the Galaxy A52 5G, which retails for $499. It comes with a 6.5-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It features 6GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage, which is solid for the price. The phone even has a quad-camera system with a 64MP main shooter with Optical Image Stabilization. This phone comes with a Snapdragon 750G chipset.
Moving down the line is the $399.99 Galaxy A42 5G, which features the same chipset as the more expensive Galaxy A52 5G. It features a hefty 6.6-inch HD+ Super AMOLED display with a slower refresh rate. It totes a 48 MP triple camera system on the back and a notch selfie camera on the front. As for RAM and storage, you'll get 4GB and 128GB, respectively.
The Galaxy A32 5G is Samsung's cheapest 5G phone, coming with a $279.99 price tag for 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. It's definitely more basic in terms of specs, but at such a low price for a phone with 5G support, it's hard to complain.
The Galaxy A12 and A02s are Samsung's budget-friendly phones, coming with $179.99 and $109.99 prices, respectively. As you might expect, these devices do not come with 5G support. However, they have reasonable specs for users who want a basic phone to handle web browsing and basic gaming.
As for storage and RAM, the Galaxy A12 features 3GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage. The cheaper Galaxy A02s comes with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage. Both devices support expandable memory, so you can always add more if your needs outgrow the relatively small amount of space they offer.

Samsung announced that all of the devices except the A02s are scheduled to ship on April 9. The budget-friendly A02s will release a bit later, coming out on April 29.
Most of these phones launched a few weeks ago outside of the US, so they're only new in the United States.
